Manager - Plant Quality - Manufacturing

Job Responsibilities:

Quality Management:

- Work with Corporate Quality Head to develop the plant's quality management strategy/plans, site quality policy and procedures in line with the company's strategy. Manage, support and provide direction and leadership to his Team Leaders

- Responsible for all plant quality activities - ensure implementation of Quality System for all materials, methods and people, effective testing of in-process and finished products, audits of the facilities, maintain specifications and standards, all regulatory compliance, effective operation of laboratories and pilot plant and maintain high GMP standards within the site.

- Liaise with State FSSAI on regulatory issues affecting plant operations

- Recruitment and selection of personnel for the Quality Department, training and development for team members.

- Set and monitor the performance of the plant quality function against standards in areas such as consumer complaints, Right-first time, material and product rejections, hygiene and food safety standards, documentation, proper upkeep of all quality related equipment/facilities, audit compliance, prompt attention to any deviations, etc.

- Responsible for meeting established department and project goals and budgets.

- Communicate and coordinate effectively with functional groups (R&D, Procurement, Engineering and Manufacturing) on quality and process control related projects and issues.

- Ensure smooth and cordial employee relations.

Project Management:

- Critical Support for execution of the manufacturing project according to strict deadlines and within budget. Manage project dependencies and critical path and lead his sub-team.

- Responsibilities include direct involvement and coordination for commissioning, qualification and validation of production lines, laboratories, critical utilities (HVAC, WTP, ETP, etc.).

- Coordinate the efforts of team members and relevant third-party contractors and consultants.

- Responsible for safety and quality control throughout its life cycle.

- Build, develop and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.
