Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Management:
- Oversee the end-to-end payroll process ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for all employees.
- Manage payroll schedules and coordinate with HR and finance teams for timely data collection.
- Ensure all payroll transactions are processed efficiently and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
- Stay updated on new legislation and regulatory rulings impacting payroll and benefits.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
- Analyze payroll data and generate reports for management and other stakeholders.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on payroll data analysis.
Systems Management:
- Oversee payroll systems, ensuring they are up-to-date and functioning efficiently.
- Collaborate with IT and HR to implement system upgrades or changes as needed.
- Train staff on new payroll systems and processes.
Employee Relations:
- Address and resolve employee concerns and queries related to payroll.
- Communicate with employees about payroll changes, deductions, and compliance requirements.
- Ensure confidentiality and security of payroll data.
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in payroll and compliance.
- Implement best practices to streamline payroll processes and enhance efficiency.
- Lead or participate in special projects related to payroll and compliance as needed.
