Manager - Payroll
- End to End Payroll Processing of Indian Payroll Only.
- Experience in handling Employee strength of 2000 - 3000 employee strength.
- Strong exposure to payroll audit and complete taxation process.
- Strong grip on payroll for multiple entities
- Managing the complete payroll cycle from processing to disbursement.
Responsibilities:
HR Department:
- The HR department is responsible for collecting and maintaining accurate employee information, including but not limited to:
- Personal details (name, address, contact information, etc.)
- Bank account details for salary payments
- Tax-related information (e.g., PAN, TIN)
- Salary structure and deductions
- HR will ensure that all new hires complete the necessary payroll-related documentation upon joining the company.
- Any changes to employee details (e.g., salary revisions, promotions, terminations) must be promptly communicated to the payroll department.
Payroll Department:
- The payroll department is responsible for processing payroll accurately and on time.
- This includes calculating salaries, deductions, taxes, and other relevant components of employee compensation.
- The payroll team will also be responsible for managing employee benefits, such as insurance, retirement plans, and other deductions.
- They will prepare and file all necessary payroll-related reports and returns with the appropriate government authorities.
Process:
- Data Collection:Provide data to external consultant
- This data will be provided to the payroll department in a timely manner, preferably before the payroll processing cycle begins.
Payroll Processing:
- Payroll will prepare and maintain accurate records of all payroll transactions, including salary payments, deductions, and taxes.
- They will generate reports as required by management, auditors, or regulatory authorities.
- Payroll will ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations governing payroll processing and employee compensation.
Confidentiality: All payroll-related information is confidential and should be handled with the utmost care. Access to payroll data should be restricted to authorized personnel only, and appropriate security measures should be in place to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure.
