Role: Packaging Development Manager
Roles and Responsibilities:
Pioneering Packaging Design:
- Push the boundaries of packaging design, creating solutions that not only protect our products but also elevate the consumer experience.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies to bring fresh, innovative ideas to the table.
Material Mastery:
- Source and evaluate cutting-edge packaging materials that strike the perfect balance between performance, cost, and sustainability.
- Conduct rigorous testing to ensure materials meet our stringent quality and environmental standards.
Compliance Champion:
- Navigate the complex world of regulatory requirements with finesse, ensuring our packaging materials and labeling are fully compliant.
- Collaborate closely with regulatory affairs teams to secure approvals and certifications for new packaging designs.
- Cost-Effective Creativity & Inventory Management
- Find ingenious ways to optimize packaging costs without compromising on quality or aesthetics.
- Negotiate win-win pricing agreements with suppliers to keep our packaging solutions both innovative and economical.
- Maintain cash flows and optimise inventory levels
- Take charge of packaging development projects, guiding cross-functional teams to deliver on time and within budget.
- Keep a keen eye on project milestones and budgets, ensuring seamless execution from start to finish.
Quality Assurance Excellence:
- Set the gold standard for packaging quality, establishing rigorous standards and conducting thorough inspections.
- Ensure every packaging solution meets our high-quality requirements and exceeds consumer expectations.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field; Master's degree and IIP Graduate is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in packaging development or packaging engineering roles, preferably within the [industry/sector].
- Deep expertise in packaging materials, design principles, and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in industry-standard packaging design software and tools.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and standards for packaging materials and labeling.
- Exceptional project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
