Manager, Origination & Client Coverage - Investment Banking - Oman
Principal Accountabilities:
- Be responsible for originating mandates and supporting and marketing transactions and be a part of bank's Investment Banking involved in fundraising financial advisory solutions including equity capital markets, private placements, structured equity, mergers and acquisitions, debt syndications for companies and/or projects, debt capital markets, senior, subordinated & structured products, Islamic finance and similar transactions.
- Lead on maintaining and covering client and investor relationships for Investment Banking and on developing and pitching business ideas to clients.
- Be responsible for the origination of mandates for Investment Banking.
- Conceptualize and develop pitches and deliver them to clients in a compelling manner.
- Interact closely with the Debt Solutions Team and Equity Solutions Team of Investment Banking and take required inputs.
- Have at all times a good understanding of the business, markets and industries of the clients of Investment Banking.
- Identify and understand the clients' objectives and requirements.
- Develop and propose the marketing and placement strategy of all relevant transactions of Investment Banking and play a lead role in marketing and placing transactions.
- Interact closely and coordinate with the Placement Team of Investment Banking and Asset Management.
- Develop, maintain and cover client relationships at various levels and within all relevant departments of the clients.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with regulators (such as CBO, CMA, MSM) and other advisors (such as legal, accounting, technical, etc.).
- Manage and coordinate cross-cooperation and cross-selling between all relevant departments of the bank and create cross-sell opportunities.
- Attend to any other matters that are relevant for Investment Banking as required.
Personnel Specifications:- Master of Business Administration (MBA)/Chartered Financial Analyst or Equivalent Qualifications
- Experience of 5 to 8 years in a core financial advisory and capital raising function with a leading investment bank or a leading investment banking team
- Experience of deal origination, deal execution, relationships and coverage, business development, placement, etc.
- Thorough understanding of investment banking transactions
- Should have ability to work under tight deadlines in a competitive environment
- Should have ability to think through unstructured environments
- Excellent analytical skills
- Initiative and ability to generate ideas and carry the same forward
- Strong team player
- Excellent oral, written communication and presentation skill
