About The Role
We seek a skilled and experienced E-commerce Operations Manager to lead and optimize our online operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing aspects such as inventory management, order processing, system integrations, and data analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Order Processing: Manage order processing systems, ensuring seamless integration with e-commerce platforms. Collaborate with IT teams to troubleshoot and enhance system functionalities.
2. Inventory and SKU Management: Oversee the backend processes related to inventory tracking, SKU management, and stock replenishment. Implement strategies to optimize inventory turnover and minimize carrying costs.
3. Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize data analytics tools to analyze backend performance metrics and generate actionable insights. Provide regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) to inform decision-making.
4. Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process improvement within the e-commerce operations workflow. Implement best practices to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency.
5. Backend System Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and updates of backend systems, including order management and inventory management software.
6. Quality Control: Implement quality control measures for backend processes to ensure order fulfillment and inventory management accuracy. Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for backend operations.
7. Vendor and Logistics Coordination: Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and logistics partners to optimize backend supply chain processes.
8. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and customer service, to align backend operations with overall business goals. Collaborate on product launches, promotions, and other initiatives impacting backend processes.
9. Customer Returns (Inventory Management): Supervise the entire customer returns process, assess the eligibility of returned items, decide on the appropriate disposition (restock, refurbish, dispose), and compile a return inventory to be sent back to the supplier for credit.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree (Any) - Business, E-commerce, Operations Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Master's degree in Business, E-commerce, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience (min 5 yrs.) in backend e-commerce operations management, preferably in a retail environment.
- Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms, order processing systems, and inventory management.
- Proficient in data analysis and reporting tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
