Manager - Operation - Manufacturing Firm

The position is based in East Africa

Our client company is a diversified conglomerate based in East Africa, is involved in manufacturing,
trading, real estate, agriculture, and other technology-related strategic ventures.

This opening is for SMART METER ASSEMBLY BUSINESS.

Job Role:

- Sales and Business Development:

Identify new opportunities to sell Smart Meters meters through on-ground research, connections, and open market tenders

- Hiring and Team Management:

Overseas recruitment of skilled technicians, quality control staff, assemblers, and all support staff.

- Supply Chain and Inventory Management:

Coordinate with suppliers to ensure raw material supply.

Implement inventory control systems and do adequate raw material planning.

- Production, Planning and Execution:

Develop production schedules with teams to meet customer demand and tender delivery timelines.

Ensure strong quality standards by hiring QC teams

- Financial Management:

Plan the operation budget and forecasts to present to management.

Analyse the production costs and cost-saving opportunities and implement cost-control measures.

- Compliance and Regulatory Affairs:

Ensure relevant compliance standards are maintained as per safety and environmental laws.

Obtain all necessary certi- cations required from regulatory bodies

Minimum Requirements:

- 7 years minimum in an Operations role or Supply Chain or Team Leadership

- Education Quali- cation: B. Eng or BSc Eng & MBA

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Analytical mindset with a keen eye for identifying business opportunities.
