JD for Onion Sourcing Manager

- Fruit and Vegetables Sourcing function at Bigbasket drives growth of our farmer and producer network to build a sustainable and competitive sourcing ecosystem.

As an Onion sourcing head, you will own up farmer network growth, retention, and ensure 100% fulfilment rate directly from farmers / Collection Centres at competitive prices.

Responsibilities

- Strongly evangelise big basket's farmer connect program value proposition for farmers

- Head the farmer sourcing initiatives for Onions including off season storage.

- Build a sustainable and scalable sourcing network.

- Explore new clusters for around the year to supply Onion at competitive market prices

- Hire, Train and develop a high-performance sourcing team

- Set clear goals & targets and drive them effectively

- Improve the productivity of the sourcing team by identifying and filling the current training gaps and performance management systems

- Forecast demand and Supply planning to done on Monthly/Quarterly/yearly basis

- Inventory planning for the respective Dcs.

- Coordinate with Operations and quality teams for the daily supplies and should be able to resolve the issues on daily basis if any

- Logistics planning and coordination on daily basis for the movement of stocks from Source location to DC's etc..

MUST HAVES:

- 5+ years of veg sourcing experience

- Team handling exp is a must

- Notice period - 30 days

- Must be ready for WFO in Nashik
