Manager - Network Infrastructure

Job Summary :

- Responsible for managing the Network infrastructure and coordinating all aspects of the relationship with technology partners. The person ensures process driven approach.

Key Responsibilities :

- In depth knowledge of Network, telecommunication design / Architect and integration of large scale enterprise networks.

- Thorough understanding of TCP/IP data networks using standards and technologies including but not limited to: MPLS, IS-IS, OSPF, BGP4, STP, RSTP, 802.1q, 802.1ah, ADSL2+

- Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of LAN/WAN support and engineering design for voice, data and video networks at Access, Aggregation, and Core network locations

- Should have exposure in analyzing business requirements to develop technical network solutions and their framework.

- Should have strong exposure in managing LAN/MAN/WAN, network operations

- In-depth knowledge in managing and designing Load Balancing technologies such as GLSB and application virtualization.

- Design network architecture, as per need and future planning

- Exposure in managing new location setup, in terms of connectivity, bandwidth, configuration, etc.

- Should be strong in cabling standards and network passive infrastructure

- Good understanding of project management and controls

- Performance monitoring, analysis and reporting

- Perform short-term, intermediate and long-term forecasting and planning

- Analyze effectiveness and efficiency of network and Telecom systems

- Streamline and map business function with technical features and provide value to business

- Coordination with various teams to ensure smooth functioning of data and voice operations

- Billing consolidation and verification

- Work with other colleagues in IT to resolve the issues, that have cross-functional inter-linkages

- Should timely escalate major issues, risks and any other issues to immediate supervisor and stakeholders

Measures of Success :

- Timely completion of projects

- No of projects completed

- No of operation optimization initiatives and completion

- Reduce defects within acceptable limits/SLAs.

- Manage change controls.

- Reduce Capex / Operating expenses.

- 100% implementation of User Access control process and policy

Key Relationships (Internal /External) :

- Cisco Certified Network Professional

Key competencies/skills required :

- Must have sharp analytical skills

- Desired qualification and experience

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor of Engineering/ Technology, Diploma in Computer Science/ Engineering (Computer/ Telecommunication) or equivalent with minimum 10 years of experience
