Position: M&A Manager.
Qualification: CA.
Job Role:
- Mergers & Acquisitions Advisory (M&A) is an integral part of our Deals offering to our clients and is closely aligned to global network, thus able to facilitate specific cross-border transactions covering, M&A team is a mid-market leader in the world.
- Growth and change are key to improving and unlocking shareholder value. The M&A team facilitates this process through offering clients lead advisory services, and integrated solutions through the various lines of service, in relation to divestments, acquisitions and capital raising initiatives.
- Divestment of businesses: Advising on optimal sale structures identify and approach potential buyers; prepare the necessary marketing materials; manage the due diligence process (tax, legal, financial etc); provide valuation advice and assist with negotiations through to the completion of the transaction;
Acquisitions: Helping clients identify and evaluate potential acquisition targets; providing valuation advice; assisting with negotiations, managing the due diligence process (tax, legal, financial etc) and assisting with the procurement of acquisition finance; and
- Capital raisings: Assisting clients with their funding strategies at various stages of the business lifecycle, from early through mature stages, which may involve funding sources including venture capital, private equity, infrastructure funding and initial public offerings.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Completed a relevant tertiary qualification in Business/Commerce/Finance or related qualification.
- A minimum of 5 years previous experience in corporate finance and valuation, financial accounting, financial modelling and industry analysis is critical,
- Post-graduate qualifications such as CA, MBA or Masters in Finance. will be highly favored
- Consulting experience from a similar professional environment
- A commercial and strategic focus in influencing and advising clients
- Able to present solutions in a clear and articulate manner, tailoring style to suit the needs of the client
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- A team focused style with strong organizational and project management skills
- Self motivated, confident and proactive
- The desire to build on your commercial, change management, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Adaptability and flexibility
- Strong focus on building client relationships - internal and external.
