Master Data Management Manager
Responsibilities:
Vendor & Customer Master Data Management:
- Develop and implement strategies for creating, validating, and maintaining accurate and complete master data for vendors and customers.
- Standardize data definitions and ensure consistency across all systems and departments.
- Oversee the vendor and customer onboarding process, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
- Implement data cleansing and deduplication procedures to ensure data integrity.
- Establish data governance policies and procedures to maintain data quality and compliance.
Team Leadership & Management:
- Lead and mentor a team of data specialists, providing guidance and coaching to ensure high-quality data management practices.
- Delegate tasks effectively and foster a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
- Conduct performance reviews and identify opportunities for professional development.
Stakeholder Management:
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization (e. g. , sales, operations, finance) to understand their data needs.
- Communicate the value of MDM and drive adoption of data governance practices.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure the technical infrastructure supports efficient data management.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Regularly analyze master data to identify and address data quality issues.
- Generate reports on key data quality metrics and track progress towards data governance goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field (MBA a plus).
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in Master Data Management with a proven track record of success in vendor and customer data management.
- Strong understanding of data governance principles and best practices.
- Experience working on multiple MDM projects in a complex business environment.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve data quality issues.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and mentor a team.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and data management software (a plus).
