Job Description :
- Responsible for shaping the Portfolio and brand/s strategy focused on sustainable and profitable growth.
- Deliver projects with specific responsibility for innovation, competitive market share gain, profitability
- In-market performance and data-led development of brand strategy : To develop, maintain and publish the analytical frameworks that help evaluate, improve and facilitate leadership decisions on the brands.
- This would cover all aspects of the business including but not limited to - category landscaping, SKU-wise and geography-wise understanding of the entire category, deep understanding of the marketing mix of all competitors (pricing, market shares, velocities, margins and other key metrics), and co-ownership of profitable, sustainable sales growth for the brand/s
- Margin Improvement: Constant focus on margin enhancement ideas and driving of projects that deliver to this objective for the brand portfolio.
- Product development: To further develop a deep understanding of the product composition (in tandem with R&D teams) and drive improvements that enables superior consumer experience, claims and comparisons vs. competition.
- Consumer-led thinking: Regular and detailed immersion (qualitative and quantitative) into consumer behavior with regard to the category, to help inform all marketing mix and new product development efforts. Seek insights from all aspects of people's lived reality, not just as consumers.
- Agency Management: Managing agency resources including advertising, in-store communication, public relations and digital. Developing integrated communication across all programs, promotions, products and services. Managing marketing budget for the brand/s.
- Demand forecasting and Inventory Management: Work with supply chain and channel sales team to ensure product availability at all times, minimal wastage of inventory, and constant tracking of product from factory to shelf.
- Innovation and New Product Development: Drive ongoing new product ideas in the pipeline and identity new opportunity spaces. Lead cross functional teams to deliver launches on time and within budgets.
- Brand Development and Activation: Develop and execute all brand marketing mix elements - including product, packaging, communication (traditional media + digital + PR) and flawlessly execute of all ATL & BTL initiatives.
- Work closely with Channel Sales teams to ensure strong share of shelf, in-store presence and growing sales and velocity of our brands
Educational Qualifications :
- Post-graduate in Marketing from a Premier Institute. Experience of 10-12 years
Functional Skills :
- Working in Sales & Marketing of FMCG Companies/ Foods and commodity branding 35+ years
