Amazon Fashion, a division of Amazon.in, a leader in e-commerce globally, is seeking a talented Marketing Manager with a passion for event management and marketing activations to fill the role of Marketing Manager, Fashion Events and Programs.In this role, you will serve as the event expert and marketing lead for important activities like Amazon India Fashion week (- AIFW- ). The role will take day-to-day lead on strategy and execution for AIFWand will work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure its success.
You will identify if there are other events that Amazon should participate in or create, secure support for your recommendations and then lead the program management of these events as well. You will identify event needs and execute events to build Amazon's fashion credentials while also adding important selection to Amazon.in. You will utilize exceptional project management skills to manage pre-event reviews and communications and post-event follow-up, ensuring all stakeholders are working together to deliver a high-quality event.
Amazon is also investing in significant marketing activities beyond these events - TV, print, billboards and more - with some of these focused exclusively on our fashion business.
- You will act as the point of contact for key internal teams like the Integrated Marketing teamand category teams to ensure the needs of our fashion business are reflected in these activities and delivered.
- You will support these programs to ensure flawless execution and that the creative is not only inspiring for consumers but linked to products that Amazon's customers will purchase easily on Amazon.in.
- The Marketing Manager will be expected to innovate and will be empowered to expand our horizons to new approaches. In typical Amazon fashion, this role will hold a high bar for measurement of marketing activities, and will define success metrics, measurement methods and reporting processes for their efforts.
- The ideal candidate will have a track record of running successful events, have marketing experience and have excellent interpersonal and written communication skills. This is a unique opportunity to play a highly visible role in an exciting, innovative and fast-growing fashion business.
Job Responsibilities :
- Program lead Fashion events, including our signature event Amazon India Fashion Week and additional events that benefit the Amazon Fashion brand and business including developing marketing and business objectives for the events, building the marketing strategy, driving the events to completion by partnering with external and internal stakeholders.
- Serve as event project manager, responsibilities include, but are not limited to: coordination with FDCI which includes pre-event consultation and planning, venue selection, agenda development and event flow; finale design and management, budget management; related invite management; event staffing; printing and shipping; event follow-up and reporting, etc.; on-site event duties include ensuring proper set-up and signage, registration coordination, AV testing, management, time management, etc.
- Work effectively with and manage internal and external stakeholders to achieve business goals.
- Collaborate with the category business partners, the editorial team, the integrated marketing team and the traffic team to ensure these events to deliver targeted customer and business impact
- Working with other internal teams such as legal/ finance on contracts and budgets associated with the event
- Managing external stakeholders tactfully- this is very critical, given the industry and the importance of managing external stakeholders who are :
- FDCI - Work with FDCI leader and his team at a strategic & tactical/executional level.
- Agency for on-ground initiatives to execute on-ground activities which include building the lounge, and managing F&B for the event, with the IMC team.
- Fashion fraternity - Specifically for the Finale, the AIFW lead will have to liaison with participating designers, show stylist, show choreographer, set designer, and agency (with IMC team) to implement the show & set design, and finalize all aspects of the Grand Finale which includes the theme, choreography, format, and music.
- Effectively manage complex projects across multiple product and marketing organizations within Amazon to achieve business goals
- Collaborate with the integrated marketing team and fashion business teams to manage the annual category marketing plans; work with the integrated marketing team to build offline campaigns for the Fashion category, with the objective to build the Amazon Fashion brand and drive the business.
- Evaluate new event opportunities
- Analyze and make recommendations for improved execution and ROI
- Drive event promotion and registration through the AWS website, social media, and other channels.
- Manage event calendar, project timelines, and event budget.
- Expertly drive pre-event weekly meetings, including ownership of event planning documentation.
- Build and distribute regular pre-event status reports and post-event trip report.
- Work closely with marketing, sales, product teams, PR, upper management, and field evangelists to achieve business goals via event marketing.
Basic qualifications :
- 3+ years of relevant work experience in event marketing.
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or relevant field of study.
- Demonstrated success in event management and project management.
- Willingness to travel and ability to work independently and autonomously.
- Superior oral and written communication skills with an innate attention to detail.
- Proven knowledge of industry tools, such as Salesforce, Content Management Systems (CMS) and HTML.

- 3+ years of relevant work experience in marketing
- Successful history of defining event marketing strategy and execution excellence
- A career path that demonstrates increasing levels of responsibility and proven success delivering measurable marketing results.
- Ability to manage time and juggle multiple priorities to execute high quality deliverables.
- Skilled negotiator with proven experience finding creative ways to do more with less, and a track record of staying on budget.
- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, innovative, and rapidly evolving industry and business organization
- Ambitious self-starter with demonstrated ability and willingness to roll up sleeves and execute to get the job done
- Strong drive for results, with the ability to manage independently and take calculated risks
- Outstanding interpersonal skills: decisive, action-oriented, and able to motivate, inspire, and lead cross-functional teams in different business teams
- Proven track record of continually advocating on behalf of your internal and external customers
