About the Role:
- The Marketing Manager for the Children's Division will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies to drive the success of the company's children's book titles and related products.
- The role requires a deep understanding of retail marketing, event management, and strategic partnerships, especially within the context of brand, FMCG, or toy industries.
- The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of launching successful products, managing retail merchandise, and leveraging collaborations to enhance brand visibility and sales.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement multi-channel marketing campaigns for children's titles, including digital, print, social media, and in-store promotions.
2. Lead the planning and execution of product launches, ensuring alignment with brand objectives and target audience preferences.
3. Collaborate closely with editorial, sales, and other creative teams to ensure cohesive messaging and branding across all touchpoints.
4. Drive retail marketing initiatives by working closely with key retail partners to develop in- store displays, promotional materials, and exclusive merchandise.
5. Develop and maintain relationships with major retailers to secure premium shelf space and promotional opportunities.
6. Monitor retail trends and consumer behavior to inform marketing strategies and enhance product visibility.
7. Plan and manage high-impact events, including book launches, author signings, festivals, and other promotional activities that engage young readers and their families.
8. Coordinate with event venues, vendors, and partners to ensure seamless execution and memorable experiences.
9. Analyze event performance and incorporate learnings into future event strategies.
10. Identify and negotiate strategic partnerships and collaborations with brands, influencers, and organizations that align with our children's division.
11. Develop co-branded campaigns and product offerings that enhance our market presence and resonate with our audience.
12. Manage relationships with external agencies, licensors, and partners to maximize the impact of collaborative efforts.
13. Ensure brand consistency across all marketing materials and communications.
14. Develop and maintain brand guidelines specific to the Children's Division, ensuring all content is on-brand and appropriate for the target audience.
15. Lead brand-building initiatives that reinforce our position as a market leader in children's publishing.
16. Analyze marketing performance metrics to measure campaign effectiveness, ROI, and inform future strategies.
17. Prepare regular reports for senior management, providing insights into market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive landscape.
18. Use data-driven insights to optimize marketing strategies and drive continuous improvement.
19. Fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
20. Manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize impact.
21. Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, integrating innovative approaches into marketing strategies.
Key Skills and Qualifications Required:
1. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.
2. 5+ years of experience in marketing, with a strong background in retail marketing, product launches, and brand management.
3. Experience in the children's sector, FMCG, toys, or related industries is highly desirable.
4. Proven track record of managing successful marketing campaigns and partnerships.
5. Strong project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
7. Creative thinker with a passion for storytelling and a deep understanding of the children's market.
8. Proficiency in digital marketing tools, analytics platforms, and CRM systems.
