Manager - Market Risk - Equity Derivatives - Financial Group

Position based with a large Financial Group in Mumbai.

1. Develop and establish risk management practices and measures across all derivatives instruments traded / embedded as part of proprietary trading or market linked products.

2. Set up the market risk framework covering all types of exposures related to derivatives - risk limits for greeks, VaR, stress numbers etc & monitoring of same

3. Assessment and updating of existing risk systems and processes linked to trading and product design.Verification of appropriateness of various input data (like volatility surface, risk free rate etc) used in product pricing and valuation of derivative instruments

4. Verification of product pricing models and independent justification of the results.

5. Verification of payoff calculations included in documentation/term sheet of derivative instruments/transactions

6. Ongoing monitoring of outstanding exotic options instruments during the life of the product and at maturity

7. Preparation of risk analytics reports and update to Risk Management Committee & other stakeholders on periodical basis

8. Ad Hoc product analytic work to support trading and stress risk limit structure.

9. Regular review of limits to ensure that they match the risk profile of the business.

10. VaR computation and analysis for each asset class/trading book

11. Review of new trading strategies and/or structured transactions on request.

12. Ensure compliance to process controls implemented in various areas of deal origination, trading, redemption, ongoing monitoring, product approvals etc

13. Ensure adequate disclosures relating to risk management & valuations are being made to comply with regulatory requirements i.e.in offer documents, company website etc

We need someone with market risk experience in equity derivatives and atleast some onshore knowledge of derivatives trading on exchanges
