Job Summary:

Technical underwriting role with strong analytical acumen and team leadership to drive underwriting projects.

Function / Responsibilities:

CUW- Marine Cargo would be assigned with following responsibilities

Underwriting responsibilities of marine cargo proposals which are being referred to corporate office as per underwriting guidelines of ILGIC

Loss ratio tracking and management- to achieve budgeted targets

Owning and driving a particular group of cargo in terms of

a. Identification of profitable segments for premium growth

b. Introduce and implement required Risk Management in collusion with separate risk management team.

Competencies:

Desired Candidate should possess following skills

1. Sound understanding of marine cargo insurance subject and should be well versed with the following

a. Institute and Non Institute Clauses

b. Maritime trade and its processes

c. Underwriting contours that enables acceptance and rejection of proposals

d. Basic knowledge of Reinsurance

e. Analytical skills

2. Team Player with following soft skills

a. Strong inter personal and negotiation skills

b. Open to learn new skills

Education:

1. MBA in insurance preferred

2. Fellow of Insurance Institute of India

3. ACII- Desirable

4. Any Graduates
