Manager - Manufacturing Operations - FMCG

We are having an opportunity with a leading FMCG Organization:

Designation: Operations Manager

Location: Ahmedabad (Anand)

Experience: 4 to 8 Years of Operations Experience

Educational Qualification: BE & MBA from from Tier 1 or Tier 2 colleges

Preference Industry : FMCG / Pharma / Auto / Auto Ancillary

Purpose of Job :

- To lead a team of executives, meet Production targets ensuring key deliveries of Safety, Quality, Cost and People management

- Reporting Structure: This role reports to head of operations and 8-10 Executives will reports to his role.

Basic Requirement:

- B.Tech/B.E Graduate from Tier 1 or Tier 2 colleges

- Min. 4 years of relevant work experience in manufacturing

- Has to experience in handling a team

- Knowledge of Industrial safety, Continuous Improvement (Manufacturing Excellence tools)

- Knowledge in MS Office and SAP

- Excellent analytical, Communication and motivation skills

- Structured and analytical thinking

- The capability of cooperative and cross-functional teamwork

- Good written and spoken English

Key responsibilities :

- Achieve production targets for day, week and month - identify losses, work on Gap to Target

- Review shift operations on a continuous basis for better utilization of Manpower, Machine and Utilities.

- Lead Operations team in the weekly production scheduling meetings along with the Supply Planning team

- Responsible for driving Manufacturing Excellence Culture in the shop floor, participate in all improvement projects

- Maintenance of Production assets in coordination with the engineering team

- Be part of Early Equipment Management team during the selection and finalization of new machines or modification of existing ones

- Ensure all the EHS standards are followed on the shop floor, assist Safety Executive in implementing corrective actions and ensure shop floor is free of hazards

- Responsible to deliver Right First Time Quality; meet Beiersdorf hygiene standards in the manufacturing area.

- Preparation of Production Budget (Expense & Investment) and Headcount plan, review monthly financial report and ensure controls to be on-plan

- Lead Operations team to initiate and deliver manufacturing cost savings

- Responsible for Capability Development for shop floor associates, contribute in upskilling
