Manager MIS with a lead Banking Organization

Reporting to : Head - Business Performance Monitoring & Analysis
Main Role (Overall accountability) :
- Responsible for MIS reporting, gathering and analysis of information from internal and external sources and analysis to identify product niches, cross sell opportunities and new business areas to support the business objectives of Bank Muscat.
Principal Accountabilities :
- Responsible for administration and development of Bank wide MIS.
- Responsible for preparation and providing accurate and timely segmental profitability reports to business heads.
- Identify target customer segments for cross selling products and services.
- Liaise with Product heads to provide them necessary information and analysis to help convert potential ideas into viable products.
- Provide timely MIS to Business Heads (Consumer, Corporate etc), support teams and sales units to enable them to plan and track their sales plans closely and achieve the targets.
- Analyse business performance based on trends and targets, to provide feedback to businesses in order to take appropriate business decisions.
- Define customer segments and determine their size, needs and potential profitability.
- Design customer value propositions.
- Liaise with the relevant parties to ensure that the Bank's reporting systems are managed and maintained effectively.
- Automation of processes and reports and development of new reports.
- Development and training of employees.
Personnel Specifications :
- Professional accounting qualification (CA) with experience in Management Information Systems in Banking Industry.
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar position in a large bank and overall experience of max 8 years.
- Strong communication skills.
- Familiarity with working on any of the standard DBMS systems.
- Clear understanding of segmentation and positioning of products & business.
- Ability to think through the entire segmentation process, data gathering, analysis and providing recommendations.
- Commercial analysis skills, big picture-thinking.
- Highly motivated, energetic and driven to make things happen.
