KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Manager - Legal will be responsible for documentation, contract management, client engagements, various due diligences, acquisitions, advisory, litigation etc.
Drafting - Corporate Agreements and other documentation
- Understand the business requirements and the legal implications.
- Review the applicable laws as per the business requirement.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to complete documentation.
- Repository of all important agreements
- All documentation for commercial and real estate related transactions
- Ensure registration of documents, wherever applicable
Advisory
- Advice business on legal implications
- Support business with legal solutions
- Update business with developments in various applicable legal provisions
- Repository of all important agreements
- Ensure registration of documents, wherever applicable
Due Diligence
- In case of business acquisitions, coordinate to perform due diligence.
- Complete title due diligence during property/real estate transactions
- Arrange to review all title documents of the concerned property depending on state Act.
- Obtain an opinion from the external advocate, in case required.
- Review further requests and firm up on the final copy.
Litigations
- Coordination with external advocates including briefing, support in documentation etc.
- On receipt / issue of notice, issue / receive a reply notice.
- Appear in court and provide evidence as and when required, depending on the gravity of the case.
- On case disposal, a certified copy of the order needs to be obtained and filed.
Intellectual Property Rights
- Coordination in case of notices, litigation etc.
Secretarial Functions
- Basic understanding of secretarial functions.
