- Our Client is a Multinational Retail and Hospitality Enterprise with presence across multiple geographies delivery value to its customers and other stakeholders. They own some of the excellent brands addressing different customer categories and customer needs.  - In their Indian Operations, we are looking at bringing in the finest Managerial Talent for their Legal Team, whose mandate would entail dealing with matters encompassing Contracts, Property Lease, and Litigation.  - This role reports to their General Counsel and would be based at Bangalore.  Finer areas of responsibility would include :  Contracts :   - Review, negotiation and closure of company contracts, agreements, letters, and other documents  - Coordinate with all internal and external stakeholders and ensure adherence to set contract management process and contractual risk analysis process   - Constantly review and update the contract management process, make improvements, and bring in value-added changes with a view to make the system robust   - Research into various legal and regulatory changes and updating the legal team and internal stakeholders of key impact on business   Property Lease :   - Legal Due-Diligence in alliance with an External Counsel  - Working of LOI and Lease Agreements  - Engage with Developers and independently conclude Lease Agreements and Lease Deeds  - Impact of Stamp Duty and timely registration and renewal of Lease Agreements  Litigation :   - Preparation of Legal briefs and effective liaison with External Counsel  - Effective Documentation of plaints, written statements, Objections, writ petitions and appeals and related follow-up actions  Intellectual Property :   - Protection of the IP of the organization by registration of the IP  - Initiate Suo moto action based on infringements as reported by various teams and work towards protecting the same  Other Legal Responsibilities :   - Legal Compliance, Power of Attorney, Authorization, and work as an effective enabler of Business  - Legal MIS for various Stakeholders and establishment of processes for smooth interface and engagement  - Work with Vendors in Contract finalizations and other Legal Matters  The Candidate :   - A LLB with around 6 to 8 years experience in the Legal Profession.  - Good understanding of Contract Law, Property Law, Municipal, Labour Laws, Stamp, and Registration Laws  - Familiar with Legal Compliances applicable to the Retail Industry  - Excellent Interpersonal and Communication skills.  Please feel free to call me, BAlasubramaniam (Bala) on +917899356444 for any further details
