JOB DESCRIPTION - Manager - Legal
Location (place of posting): Mumbai
Reporting Relationships:
I. Designation(s) of person(s) the role reports to: Vice President - Legal & Corporate
II. Functions reporting to the role holder: None
External Contacts / Needs to interact with: Clients, Federations/Associations, Artistes, Aggregators, Vendors, Trademark and Copyright registry, Law Firms.
Job responsibilities
I. Role description, in short: The position entails performing legal functions in accordance with established standards of the legal profession & to ensure that Procam International complies with all relevant laws and regulations.
II. The key deliverables of the job -
1. Assist the Vice President in drafting and scrutinizing agreements and contracts with all constituents (clients, state associations, sports governing bodies, vendors, etc.) with all relevant commercial and legal clauses service levels.
2. Create and maintain agreements and contracts repository.
3. Red-flag on deviations on contracts/agreements to Vice President or the management where required, for a sign-off on deviations.
4. Provide support in handling legal issues, particularly preparing notices, letters, legal documents for the company as well as preparing replies to the notices served / received, on/by the company.
5. Prepare and dispatch of the notices on time and as per the requirements of law.
6. Research on a point in law as and when required during the course.
7. Coordinate copyright and trademark registration of various marks of the Group marks.
8. Assist the management with respect to on-going and future litigation.
9. Company Secretarial compliance.
10. Coordinate with finance and SCM on relevant matters, including procuring legal opinions where required.
Areas of experience: Corporate law, secretarial and regulatory compliances
Years of experience required: 5 to 7 years (excluding internships)
Knowledge & Skill / Competency / Qualification requirements:
- Knowledge & Skills required: Knowledge of Corporate Laws, Intellectual Property Rights and other governing laws, Agreement Drafting skills
- Competencies required and / or identified for the position, apart from Key Competencies: Attention to detail, Excellent communication skills - written and spoken, Environmental Awareness, Learning Orientation, Assertiveness
Educational Qualifications: LLB and preferably passed the Executive Programme of CS.
