Manager - Legal - LLB - Consumer Banking

Our Banking client in Mumbai is looking for a Consumer Banking focussed legal professional

Job Responsibilities :

- Drafting, Structuring and negotiating product specific credit documentation for Consumer Banking products

- Advising Product Manager / Business Unit on legal issues and risks based on RBI guidelines, Banks policies and relevant laws

- Advising / assisting Product Manager / Business Unit in creating and improving agreements and templates for existing products and for new products

- Vetting of product specific credit documents and approval of changes thereto

- Interacting with Product Managers / Business unit in recovery of overdue amounts from the customer by issuing legal notice, facilitating filing of recovery suits

- Assisting and advising Product Manager / Business unit in handling customer grievance complaints

Education and Work Experience requirement :

- LLB degree

- Experience in a Bank

Specific requirement :

- Should be well conversant with Banking Law and practice in relevant laws such as Transfer of Property Act, Contract Act, RBI Guidelines, Stamp Act, Registration Act and other laws including recovery laws related to Banking Transactions
