Manager LEGAL COUNSEL & Contract based in Bangalore

Qualification : LLB

Overview Of The Key Roles And Responsibilities :

Assisting and supporting the Services Counsel, to do, amongst others, the following :

- Manage the contractual and commercial aspects of a variety of IT services contracts and projects from pre-sales to project conclusion, ensuring compliance with DD's policies and procedures and applicable laws;

- Drafting, reviewing and providing sound legal advice and risk mitigation to the business in relation to the deals supported;

- Providing front line support for negotiations and closure of IT services contracts based on acceptable risk and in accordance to DD's policies and applicable laws

- Respond and advice the business relating to enquiries on existing regional or global contract obligations and revisions, identify risks and issues, and provide sound legal solution

- Provide post contract support (as needed by the team) including change requests, handover and summary of the transaction to the delivery teams by way of a post-contract de-brief

- Ensuring that the final signed agreement is uploaded in the internal DD SharePoint repository each time

- Work on any other matters as directed by the Regional Counsel

Skills and Qualifications :

- At least 4 years PQE and called to the Bar in any Commonwealth jurisdiction

- Relevant experience in a legal practice, or in a commercial legal department or in contract/ commercial management department

- Experience in the ICT space or outsourcing/cloud computing services space

- Good verbal & written communication, negotiation and persuasion skills

- Fluent in English, other Asian languages are an asset

- Proven track record of handing complex commercial situations to reach good outcomes

- Proven ability to work successfully within a matrix organization and at various levels of management across business units and geographies

- Willingness to travel (if needed)

- Team player, hard working, well-organized, and detail oriented.
