Requirements:


Education: BA LL.B from a reputed law school

Experience: Minimum of 5-8 years of Legal & Compliance experience, preferably with the banking and finance function of a finance company/bank/ corporate / fintech/ reputed law firm / banking software services company

Pre-requisites:

- The candidate should have experience in drafting, negotiating, and reviewing transaction documents for financial transactions.

- The candidate should have a strong understanding of laws relating to Banking and NBFCs, Corporate Laws, General and Commercial Laws and banking regulations.

- The candidate will need to have proficient communication skills and solution oriented approach.

- The candidate should have the ability to work under high pressure situations and run with multiple transactions together.

- The candidate should have the ability to deal with multiple stakeholders

- Experience of managing the overall compliance function & should have been involved in regulatory audits

- Experience in dealing with the regulator will be an added advantage

Responsibilities:

- The incumbent will carry out a range of functions and tasks pertaining to Legal and Compliance function in the organization.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

- Document drafting- drafting and vetting of all types of agreements, NDA, Services agreement, MOU's etc.

- Handling Legal activities, Legal Advice to various business verticals and functions on legal issues

- Handling the Legal Activities of the Company. Interpretation of law/ regulations and advising their applicability

- Monitor changes in legislation, regulatory environment and new law amendments along with implications thereof on the organization and prepare notes and updates for the same apprising the team and the management about the same.

- Advisory services, drafting, digital lending, social media related, legal operations, compliances, contract drafting

- Handling various regulatory compliances of the organization including ensuring overall processes and the new products and services are in line with the law of the land and the need of the regulator.

- Liaison with partner banks and compliance teams to ensure all regulatory requirements are met with

- Relationship management & engagement with the investors and raising of capital

- Assist businesses with compliance and risk management related matters and where necessary, coordinating with various departments and ensuring the compliance, conducting legal audit and due diligence.

- Drafting of legal notices, representations and replies against notice issued by statutory authorities, issuing legal advice and assistance in connection thereto
