Manager - Legal - Asset Management/Mutual Fund - LLB

Looking candidate from Asset Management company or from Mutual funds.

- Reviewing offering documents, investor notices and other regulatory filings in connection with the offering of investment funds in Singapore.

- Providing guidance on cross border/licensing issues, including permissible onshore and offshore activities by foreign asset managers engaging with clients in South East Asia and liaising with internal stakeholders and external advisors on the creation/maintenance of cross border memoranda for the region. 

- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements and documentation, including fund offering documentation, investment management agreements, inter-affiliate agreements, distribution agreements, third party vendor agreement and other ancillary agreements based on internal guidance and standard operating procedures. 

- Creating and enhancing standard agreements or other document templates.

Description

Desired Qualifications, Experiences and Skills

Qualified lawyers with at least 3+ years post qualification experience obtained in leading law firms or financial services industry with a preference for asset management experience (international or Singapore). Lawyers qualified in common law jurisdictions will have an advantage.

- Commercially attuned to the needs of a global business, with good understanding of current legal and regulatory requirements relating to international land/or local asset management industry and investment products for retail and institutional markets. 

- Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Effective collaboration skills. Ability to work under pressure and independently.

- Proactive personality with effective communication skills. Spoken and written English language skills are essential.

- Attorneys must be licensed to practice law and a member in good standing or otherwise eligible to practice law in the jurisdiction in which the position is based.

All candidates for roles in the Legal department must successfully complete a conflicts of interest clearance review prior to commencement of employment. 

JD or educational equivalent required. Attorney candidates must be in compliance with all relevant licensing requirements including the requirements of the jurisdiction where the role will be located prior to commencement of employment
