Manager - Legal - AgriTech

We are hiring for our Global Agritech client for Legal Manager for Bangalore Location. Someone comes with experience of minimum 7 years in Regulatory and licensing requirements in SEA countries preferred. Experience in Fund raise, and Debt raise legalities, Supplier and Customer contracts. Preparation of MoA, AoA, NDAs for all the partners, IP, Trademark registration and management.

Experience in carbon and ESG (Environment Sustainability Governance) legislatives will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide legal advice and guidance to management and employees on a wide range of legal matters, including contracts, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, intellectual property, litigation, and risk management.

2. Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents, ensuring they accurately reflect the organization's interests and comply with legal requirements.

3. Conduct legal research and analysis to stay abreast of changes in laws and regulations affecting the organization and provide recommendations for compliance.

4. Coordinate and manage legal proceedings, including litigation, arbitration, and mediation, and represent the organization in legal disputes when necessary.

5. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including senior management, departments, and cross-functional teams, to address legal issues and support business objectives.

6. Ensure the organization's intellectual property rights are protected through appropriate legal measures, including trademarks, copyrights, and patents.

7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date legal documentation, records, and databases, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection laws.

Represent the organization in meetings, negotiations, and interactions with government agencies, regulatory bodies, and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in law, Juris Doctor (JD), or equivalent legal qualification.

2. Master's degree in law or LLM preferred.

3. Strong understanding and experience in SEA markets

4. Experience in carbon and ESG legalities is an added advantage

5. Admitted to practice law in the jurisdiction where the organization operates. Membership in the local bar association is required.

6. Minimum of 7-10 years of relevant legal experience, including experience in a corporate legal department or law firm.

7. Strong knowledge of corporate law, contract law, commercial law, regulatory compliance, and intellectual property law.

8. Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills, with the ability to draft and review complex legal documents and agreements.

9. Proven leadership and management abilities, with experience leading a legal team and managing legal operations effectively.

10. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.

11. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
