Job Title: Legal Manager
Job Description :
- The Legal Manager will oversee Non-Performing Asset (NPA) and litigation management, ensuring effective handling of existing cases and comprehensive legal vetting of property documents for new customers.
- This role demands a solution-oriented approach and excellent decision-making skills.
Key Responsibilities:
NPA Management:
- Minimize NPA cases through strategic initiatives.
- Initiate proceedings under SARFAESI Act, arbitration, and section 138 notices.
- Manage execution of Debt Recovery (DM) orders through enforcement agencies.
Litigation Management:
- Attend and represent the company in court cases.
- Conduct visits to Debt Recovery Tribunals (DRT), Civil Courts, High Courts, and police stations as needed.
- Draft and vet legal documents including equitable mortgages, simple mortgages, and related declarations and undertakings.
Document Drafting and Vetting:
- Prepare and review retail loan agreements.
- Draft replies to legal notices and customer complaints.
- Respond to legal notices and address customer complaints effectively.
Title and Document Verification:
- Arrange for title search reports through external vendors.
- Coordinate with advocates for title investigations and discuss title issues and remedies before creating security.
- Complete Balance Transfer (BT) transactions with customers and oversee the scrutiny of original documents through legal vendors.
MIS and Reporting:
- Prepare and maintain Management Information Systems (MIS) for all NPA and litigation cases.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) or a related field; additional qualifications or certifications are a plus.
- Proven experience in legal management, particularly in handling NPA cases and litigation.
- Strong understanding of legal processes and property laws.
- Excellent drafting, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

- Proficiency in legal research and document drafting.
- Ability to handle complex legal issues and provide sound legal advice.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Effective coordination with internal and external stakeholders
