We have an opening for Sales IT Manager based at Mumbai location for our FMCG client deals with Personal Care, Home care products .

This position reports to AVP IT

Geographical scope of Work : Africa (but based out of Mumbai)

Competencies : Project Management, Process Thinking, Business orientation & partnering, Technology leadership, Results focused, Creativity and Innovation, Vendor management, Team leadership & Collaboration.

Travel : Will need to travel to various countries in Africa Should be a valid Passport holder.

Experience :

- Should have a minimum of 7-8 years of experience (of which at least 3-4 years should be in a managerial position in CPG industry) in managing Application development, implementation and support of Business Applications in Sales and Marketing.

- Prior work experience in a Consumer Goods industry needed.

- Should be familiar with the sales and marketing processes of a consumer goods- business.

Educational qualification :

- MCA or B.E. (Computers/Electronics/IT)

- MBA or PGDBM preferred

- MCSE, NCST Certification (Optional)

Technical Knowledge :

Must Have :

- Sound conceptual knowledge of Data-warehouse, SQL databases, Business Analytics- solutions like Qlikview, Mobile technologies, Systems Design and Analysis, .NET framework, Web Technologies.

Preferred :

- LAN/WAN Networks, Information security, Open Source Architecture

Applications Knowledge :

Must Have :

- Sales Force Effectiveness, Distributor Management and CRM Solutions

Preferred :

- Social Media Analytics, Digital Marketing, Supply Chain Planning and Management solutions.

Project Management Knowledge :

- Project management experience in both designing and implementing a Sales Force solution is a MUST.

Personality :

- Good communication and presentation skills, high energy, focused on delivery, good team leader as well as player, good people handling and problem solving skills.

Job description :

- Responsible for working with Sales and Marketing teams in Head Office in Mumbai and in various countries in Africa in planning, analysis, design, development, implementation and rollout of sales and marketing applications, portals and mobility solutions.

- Assignments involve business and systems analysis, project management, training and other activities needed for project completion as defined by the project plan, goals and objectives.

Project Development and Management :

- Ensure business initiatives are followed through to project implementation phase

- Develop, coordinate, and implement plans to test business applications and functional processes during application development and quality assurance testing phases

- Liaise with external vendors with regards to application development, implementation and maintenance

Business Process Analysis :

- Understand and Document business requirements

- Identify process improvement areas and initiate re-engineering processes

- Enhance business application requirements in the event of organizational changes or changes to business processes

- Analyze business processes to determine and recommend system information solutions taking into consideration the business objectives, issues and the functional capabilities of the business software applications in use.

Business Applications Support :

- Define and resolve system related issues, such as technical limitations, data conversion requirements and software interfaces.

- Design and manage development of custom programs, reports and interfaces.

- Effectively communicate application changes and issues to business groups and external vendors.

- Develop and support disaster recovery and business continuity plans for assigned applications.

- Monitor assigned application systems (e.g., logging and performance) for successful 24/7 operations.

- Keep up-to-date with the applications assigned, communicating vendor changes to peers, IT management and business users.

- Must be able to define and plan project based activities that include other IT staff, end users and when necessary, external vendors.

- Own all Business specific IT issues in Sales and Marketing till successful closure, including change management

- Generate MIS reports as and when requested by the Business

Continuous Improvements :

- Understands how the business processes change and proactively suggest application changes

- Partner with Users effectively to come up with innovative solutions to business issues

- Always look to leverage existing solutions than build new ones

Candidates having experience from FMCG/Consumer Goods or Consulting Industries preferred .
