Manager - IT Infrastructure Support

- Wintel Platform, including IIS/.NET applications

- Virtualization (such as VMWare, Solaris Containers)

- Database Architectures (such as SQL Server or Oracle)

- SAN Technologies (including Disaster Recovery solutions)

- UNIX/LINUX Platform, including Apache/J2EE applications

- Clustering (Such as MSCS, VCS)

- Backup architecture

Responsible for delivery management related to build, activation and decommission of servers as per standard process

- Liaise with client / deployment team & set the right expectation for timely build completion, activation or decommission of requested servers / assets

- Own the asset centre with right classification / life cycle status for relevant request

- Coordination for business continuity planning before activation in production environment

- Coordinate with client for validating the service readiness & smoothly handover the server to production team post activation

- Review exception requests and coordinate with business/ client for aligning the activation / decommission timelines based on requirement

- Capable of coordinating, investigating & trouble shooting the issues, manage the security remediation prior to activation of the server in production environment

- Adhere to standard provisioning process and ensure DR drill is conducted before activation of the servers

- Religiously follow GCM (Global change management) , SRM(Service request module) ticket administration & timely closure related to activation & decommission activities

- Able to manage / coordinate the build and decommission activities with various IT functional team and respective vendors which includes

- Planning and scheduling of build related activities with various stakeholders

- Planning the final backup, shutdown & cooling period of requested servers / assets

- Reclaim of various dependent logical/physical components such as IP, server rack space, fibre- Ethernet cablings, switch ports, power, de register from various monitoring tools etc

- Coordinate asset disposal, disk degaussing process & audit etc

- Evaluate, track and suggest the hardware reusability & manage the inventory

- Above all activities needs complete disciple approach and 100% adherence to process set by Global provisioning operation team
