Required Skills

- Planning/constructing and managing complex IT systems

- Designing and managing technical components as per Merck Corporate IT guidelines.

- Coordinating with Regional & Global Support Centres

- Managing the LAN/WAN connectivity of all offices, factories, and warehouses.

- Responsibility for and implementation of complex Infrastructure projects

- Acts as an senior advisor and mentor within the team and beyond and contributes to the technical direction of own discipline; often the most senior specialist resource in a team.

- Often leads projects with manageable risks and resource requirements or small teams, handles day-to-day staff management issues, including resource management and allocation of work.

- Uses advanced analytical skills to solve complex problems or problems that do not have routine solutions and takes a new perspective.

- Vendor coordination for hardware, network devices etc.

- Experience in networks such as routers, switches , MPLS networks.

- IT asset management.

- IT Security policy compliance.

- Identifies security risks and exposures, determines the causes of security violations and suggests procedures to halt future incidents

- Investigates and resolves security incidents and recommends enhancements to improve security.

- IT Server/Network equipment administration.

- Backup, restore -monitoring

- IT KPI reporting.

- Guides and influences peers, middle management as well as external customers, suppliers and agencies, regarding technical issues and challenges within his/her discipline

- Should possess strong skills in end user support and documentation.

- Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.

- Experience in working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Education Qualifications

- Engineering Graduate from a reputed university (BE (IT / Electrical / Mechanical), MCA, etc..)

- 8 - 10 years

Additional Skills :

- CCNA / MCSE / ITIL certified

- Experience in Pharma/Chemicals or Manufacturing industry
