An exciting journey to join the Private Banking Research group (part of the Investment Strategy and Products division) . The group works on fundamental and quantitative research in verticals like Equities, Fixed Income/ Credit, FX, Macro and others and contributes through top-down and bottom-up inputs as part of the Investment life cycle. Investment Strategy and Research publishes periodic investment reports for all these asset classes which are distributed to PB Clients. The team provides active support for the investment decision making by the global Investment Committee.
The role of an Investment Strategist and key deliverables include:
I. Domain related
- Tracking cross asset (Equity, Fixed Income) markets for the regions covered by CIO - IWM and analyzing drivers of performance.
- Participate towards the generation and maintenance of thematic ideas/ESG related ideas and working on related analytics and publications
- Top down analysis of financial markets through macroeconomic data tracking, quantitative modelling and contribute towards strategy forecasting, recommendations and publications
- Quantitative study of event/news flow impact on various asset classes
- Build up an understanding on macroeconomic developments and infer its implications for the asset classes
- Contribute towards various studies required as the input for the regional and global investment committee's assessment of financial markets
- Contribute towards various internal and external client presentations and publications
II. Functional
- Preparing presentations, studies (for internal and end-clients) and contributing to daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly publications.
- Generating innovative and successful investment ideas and solutions for clients
- Connect and coordinate successfully with on-shore equity and credit analysts.
Qualifications
- Post-graduation degree in Finance/Economics degree from reputed University, with added qualifications like CFA/CA/FRM preferred.
- Passion for financial markets and cross-asset research/strategy;
- Minimum 3-6 years of professional experience in financial research covering thematic/cross assets/macroeconomics.

- Dynamic personality with strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written skills with ability to communicate, summarize and discuss investment case succinctly
- Programming skills (VBA/R ) required
- Experience of having worked on E-Views, Data stream
- Ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced and demanding environment
- Ability to build relationships and communicate with global stakeholders
- Work independently and take strong ownership of tasks
