Recharges processes are the overall functional coordinators for Group’s IT and Operations related spend. The team which manages the Inter company recharges of various entities is primarily involved in the Planning, Billing, Accounting, and Invoicing & MI reporting activities.
The team on this date encompasses processes across 12 regional entities and fully owns functions like Billing, Invoicing, Accounting and Reporting.
Job Description
- Lead a team of 20+
- Acquire understanding and handle processes using process methodology as applicable
- Motivate, Lead and develop team and resources and plan for effective utilization of resources.
- Identify opportunities for process re-engineering / improvement
- Achieve established Performance Level Agreements (PLA’s)
- Ensure close interaction with Business Partners to resolve issues that may arise in the process.
- Produce analyze and interpret MI and ensure high degree of accuracy.
- Enure strict supervision and accuracy in the process.
- Ensure all audit and compliance requirements are met
- Ensure effective back-up plans are in place
- Ensure timely analysis and resolution of customer queries
Skills/Experience Required:
- CA / Non CA with 5+ / 7+ years (respectively) of overall experience in Finance
- Sound knowledge of Finance and Accounting and exposure to Billing & Recharges, Invoicing and MI Reporting.
- Ability to manage the service delivery of a designated processes
- Strong time management skills and ability to work under pressure with challenging deadlines
- Sound problem solving, planning & organizing skills
- Good verbal and written business English - communication skills
- Quality orientation and ‘process improvement’ bent of mind
- High level of analytical skills and ability to grasp complicated functions in short period of time
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Self-motivated and good team player
- Should be flexible to stretch and work across shifts
People skills
- Ability and experience of managing teams
- Responsible for leading & motivating multiple team processes with accountability on all Business Service Delivery Parameters
- Lead Migrations & Re Migrations
Analytical review / problem solving skills
- Ability to interpret data to be presented to manager and possess strong lateral thinking / analytical review skills
- Ability to manage trouble shooting/ secondary reviews and understand queries raised by business partner and determine escalation as necessary
- Ensure high quality of output is delivered. Eg Financial Data in reports is accurately and correctly presented
Change management -
- Should have demonstrated ability of driving results
- Driving change and strategic initiatives like Process Based Organization
- Drive process Improvement opportunities across processes
Accounting skills
- In-depth functional experience in accounting for all balance sheet / income statement heads
- Experience in accounting for income, expenses, loan loss provisions, expense and other accruals
- Knowledge of technical accounting concepts such as fair value accounting, goodwill impairment etc preferred
External relationship management skills
- Ability and experience of managing customer relationships/ service delivery
- Experience of interfacing with external auditors preferred
- Provide strategic direction and manage Business Partner Relationships
MS office skills
- Hands on Experience using MS Office applications
- Expert in Excel (especially Vlookup, Hlookup, etc.)
SOX
- Experience of being involved in audit control and compliance reviews/ SOX related reviews preferred
