Position Title : IT - Manager (Senior Role).
Function : Information Technology.
Reports to : COO /CEO.
Reportees : None.
Qualifications:
- Education: A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is often required.
An MBA or master's degree in a relevant field can be beneficial.
- Experience: Extensive experience in IT leadership roles, preferably in the financial services or PMS ,AIF Mutual Fund industry.
A track record of successful IT project management is essential.
- Knowledge of PMS -AIF Operations: Familiarity with the operations, regulations, and technologies used in PMS -AIF is crucial.
- Cybersecurity Expertise: Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices to safeguard sensitive financial data.
- Regulatory Compliance: Understanding of financial industry regulations, especially those related to data security and compliance.
- Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to lead and motivate the IT team and collaborate with other departments.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to align IT strategies with the business goals of the mutual fund company and to anticipate future technology trends.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex IT issues.
- Financial Acumen: Understanding of budgeting, cost management, and financial analysis related to IT investments.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications, such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or Project Management Professional (PMP), can be advantageous.
Work Experience :
- At least 6 - 8 years of prior experience in Information Technology related activities for Mutual Fund, Asset Management/ Wealth management companies.
Core Purpose of the Role (Role and Responsibility) :
- Technology Strategy: Develop and implement the IT strategy aligned with the business goals and objectives of the mutual fund company.
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee the design, maintenance, and optimization of the IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and data centers.
- Data Security: Ensure the security and privacy of sensitive financial data and transactions by implementing robust cybersecurity measures.
- Software and Application Management: Manage the selection, deployment, and maintenance of software applications and systems used in mutual fund operations, including portfolio management, trading, and customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
- Compliance and Regulatory Adherence: Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and compliance requirements (e.g., SEC regulations) related to IT systems and data management.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate IT-related risks, including data breaches and system downtime, by implementing disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Vendor Management: Collaborate with IT vendors and service providers to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of technology solutions.
- Team Leadership: Build and lead a skilled IT team, including systems administrators, software developers, and IT support staff, to execute IT strategies and projects.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and resource allocation.
- Digital Transformation: Drive digital transformation initiatives to enhance customer experiences, streamline operations, and improve business processes.
