- Design, implement and build on the industrial relations strategy in India
- Own and strengthen the relationship with the union and their leadership
- Set direction, create policy and offer expert advice in all matters relating to collective bargaining and corporate-wide industrial relations issues.
- Lead along with the Factory Manager the wage settlements periodically
- Support and align cultural and behavioral change necessary for all corporate IR programs
- Foster strong links with external networks and share best practice in the field of Industrial Relations.
- Maintain necessary documentation and ensure compliance with applicable labor laws, social security regulations and statutory provisions.
- Implement effective grievance handling mechanisms, educate technicians on company policies/rules & regulations, monitor discipline in the factory & promote , initiate disciplinary action against defaulting employees as per standing orders in order to ensure timely and fair redressal of employee grievances as per policy.
- Work Closely with IR manager in other business units and corporate HR to develop IR policies, processes and tools to deliver required changes at all levels of the organization
- Foster strong links with external networks and share best practice in the field of Industrial Relations.
