Manager Indirect Taxation

- The incumbent will handle engagements related to GST and other Indirect Tax Laws, Appeals, Tax Restructuring, Tax Advisory and consulting pertaining to GST, Service Tax, VAT, Excise and Customs. The profile will also involve dealing with Indirect Tax Compliance.

- Responsible for the complete execution of the assigned engagements.

- Analysis & Interpretation of Provisions under the Central Excise Act, Cenvat Credit Rules, Service Tax Statute, issues relating to Classification and Valuation of Goods under Central Excise and Customs.

- Issues pertaining to Excise Rules, Modvat/Cenvat Credit Rules and Cenvat Accounting

- Coordination with the department for obtaining approvals, registrations, etc.

- Gather and analyze data from various systems for reverse sales & use tax audits.

- Gather and analyze data from various systems to identify tax risk based on program performance locations.

- Research state & local tax issues and prepare guidance for internal customers.

- Gather and analyze data from various systems to prepare state & local tax workpapers.

- Assist in resolving state & local tax notices.

- Assist with resale and exemption certificate requests.

- Assist with ad hoc projects related to indirect tax.

Qualification And Experience:

1. CA/CWA with strong knowledge of indirect tax laws of India having 3-5 years of post-qualification.

2. Exceptional project management skills are required, with proactive process improvement experience.

3. Flexible with strong judgment and decision-making skills.

4. Able to prioritize workload in order to meet competing deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.

5. Strong attention to detail, yet understand and apply the degree of accuracy necessary for the task at hand.

6. Must be comfortable with virtual communications and working with geographically disparate groups.

7. Organized and demonstrate ability to complete complex tasks and projects requiring independent initiative.
