Our client, a leading Commercial Electric Vehicle (EV) manufacturer based in Delhi, is looking to hire a skilled and experienced Manager to join their Indirect Taxation team. This key role will focus on ensuring compliance with indirect tax regulations, managing tax audits, and optimizing tax strategies for the organization. Location: Delhi Work Arrangement: On-site, 6 days a week Key Responsibilities: - Compliance Management: Ensure timely and accurate filing of all indirect tax returns, including GST, VAT, and service tax. Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. - Audit and Assessment: Manage tax audits and assessments, liaising with tax authorities, preparing responses to inquiries, and representing the company in disputes. - Strategy Development: Identify and recommend strategies to minimize indirect tax liabilities while ensuring compliance. Propose alternatives to address potential tax leakage. - Legislative Monitoring: Stay updated on changes in indirect tax laws and regulations, assessing their impact on the company and ensuring timely communication to relevant stakeholders. - Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation related to indirect tax compliance, audits, and assessments. Create reports for management on tax positions and potential risks. - Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various business units to ensure a thorough understanding of indirect tax implications on business decisions. Act as a tax advisor to support strategic initiatives. - External Relationships: Develop and maintain relationships with tax consultants, advisors, and external auditors to ensure effective management of indirect tax matters. Qualifications and Experience : - Education: Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent certification is preferred. - Experience: 5+ years of experience in indirect taxation, with at least 3 years in a managerial role. Experience in a manufacturing or relevant industry is a plus. - Knowledge: Strong understanding of indirect tax laws and regulations, including GST, VAT, and service tax.
