Position: Manager, Indirect Tax (Shared Services). Company: Listed manufacturing company. Location: Gurugram, Haryana. Responsibilities: GST Compliance: - Ensure compliance with the Goods and Services Tax Act, including timely and accurate filing of GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, etc. - Manage the preparation and filing of monthly/quarterly/annual GST returns for the company. - Assist in the reconciliation of GST liabilities and payments. Documentation and Record Keeping: - Maintain accurate and detailed records of GST transactions for audit and review purposes. - Handle GST-related documentation for vendors, customers, and tax authorities. - Prepare and maintain the input tax credit (ITC) claims and ensure proper documentation. Audit and Reporting: - Coordinate with internal or external auditors for GST audits. - Assist in resolving any discrepancies raised during GST audits by the tax authorities. - Prepare reports for management regarding GST liabilities, credit claims, and potential tax-saving opportunities. Liaison with Tax Authorities: - Interact with GST authorities to resolve any issues or clarifications regarding tax assessments or audits. - Manage GST-related communication and correspondence with tax authorities. Cross-Departmental Collaboration: - Work closely with the finance and accounting teams to ensure proper GST invoicing and accounting practices. - Collaborate with legal teams on the application of GST to contracts and business agreements. Qualifications, Skills, Experience: - CA/ CMA - 5-12 years experience in indirect taxes. - Experience within a large manufacturing company.
