Job Description:
The Inbound Analyst will report directly to the Director, Inbound Marketing and work with the Inbound Team. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to pursue Data & Statistical Analysis, specifically as it relates to SEO and Inbound Marketing, as a career path. This position is a unique opportunity to innovate and take an entire marketing channel to the next level.
The core responsibilities for this position are:
1.Develop key data driven methods, tools and analysis that plays an integral role in helping to improve campaign performance.
2.Design new SEO initiatives based on advanced analytical insights.
3.Create tests designed to find new and improved techniques and tools to improve overall campaign performance.
4.Daily tracking, monitoring and analysis, leading to profitable business actions, of SEO campaigns including rankings, URLs traffic and user engagement across multiple domains.
5.Ad-hoc data analysis and manipulation using tools such as Excel and SQL as well as other data manipulation tools and software.
6.Model and manage large databases for the purpose of aiding data analysis on a large scale.
7.Design, execute and measure tests aimed at improving performance across the Inbound marketing channel.
8.Stay up to date on overall SEO and Inbound industry by engaging with community online.
Requirements:
1.Strong background in quantitative analysis (degree in Statistics, Mathematics or other Data-related education).
2.2+ years experience in a Statistics and/or Data Analyst role, ideally in an ecommerce company.
3.Strong experience with Omniture SiteCatalyst, Ad Hoc Analysis and Data Warehouse.
4.A true Microsoft Excel pro, with years of experience executing large data analysis within Excel.
5.Experience using SQL. Able to write and execute complex SQL queries.
6.Ability to think critically and take initiative to advance key projects and initiatives.
7.The ability to communicate complex analysis to non-technical team in clear and concise non-technical language.
8.Proven ability to apply analytics findings to clear, impactful business actions.
9.Ability to excel in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment, with a strong ability to stay organized and highly productive.
Advantages:
1. Basic knowledge of SEO ranking factors, best practices and common strategies.
2. Experience designing and/or managing algorithms.
3. Experience with PHP, Java, Javacript, HTML and/or CSS.
