Manager - Import & Trade Compliance

Responsibilities:

Import & Trade Compliance Leadership:

- Lead and manage the Import & Trade Compliance function for our Navi Mumbai location.

- Oversee upcoming projects related to Glass Wool and Preform Kit facilities, ensuring smooth implementation and compliance.

- Develop and implement comprehensive strategies to ensure adherence to all customs regulations and trade agreements.

- Manage import operations, liaising with Customs and DGFT officers at Nhava Sheva and Mumbai Air Cargo.

- Collaborate effectively with internal departments (Manufacturing, Logistics, Customer Service) to ensure timely product delivery and address any compliance concerns.

Process Improvement & Innovation:

- Continuously monitor import and compliance processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing effective solutions.

- Stay abreast of evolving customs regulations, trade policies, and industry best practices.

Teamwork & Communication:

- Provide strong leadership and direction to your team, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.

- Maintain clear and consistent communication with internal and external stakeholders, including customs officials and logistics partners.

Qualifications:

- University Degree (Commerce/Science) mandatory.

- Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in Import Operations and Trade Compliance Management within a reputable organization.

- Experience in dealing with Customs and DGFT officers at Nhava Sheva and Mumbai Air Cargo is a plus.

- Post Graduate Diploma in Materials Management, Certification from Indian Institute of Materials Management (IIMM), Diploma in Import Export Management, or APICS certification is a strong advantage.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve import and compliance challenges.

- Strong leadership and communication skills to lead a team, effectively collaborate with cross-functional departments, and represent the company with external stakeholders.
