Manager IKA Cell - Leading Educational Institute - Pilani/Goa/HYD
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Define metrics and organize data:
a. Collaborate with internal stakeholders (VC, Director, Deans, HoDs and faculty) to understand how data and analytics can cater to their requirement for short term and long term decision making and strategic planning
b. Define data requirement for supplying data for the purpose of ranking (Indian and International), internal review (Univ., Campus and WILP), & agencies (UGC, NBA)
c. Develop relevant processes and templates to collect data
d. Secure and archive data
e. Work with data across multiple sources, derive insights and present insights to facilitate decision-making;
f. Collaborate with Institutional cross functional teams and Divisions
2. Plan, report and analyze:
3. Address the reporting requirements of the internal stakeholders and external agencies and work towards improvising the methodology in order to ensure efficient reporting of relevant processes and outputs
4. Periodically (or as per desired frequency) publish reports, populate the dashboard and provide data to the internal stakeholders and external agencies (ranking, UGC, NBA etc.)
5. Carry out simple statistical analysis on the internal data and published ranking
6. People Management: To deploy, develop and appraise team of IKAC.
Vendor Management: To manage and work with vendors for assignments such as to develop dashboard or web portals, prepare data plan for ranking agencies, etc.
Desired Candidate Profile:- Master's Degree or equivalent, training in Business Analytics/Data Analytics or equivalent desirable
- 8 to 15 years of experience as Analytics Expert / manager in an Information Systems/Knowledge Systems/Data insights role in Higher Education academia (highly desired). Should have knowledge of the requirements and processes of the top ranking and rating requirements.
- Excellent project management and collaboration skills
- Demonstrated understanding of working with data / analysis / reporting
- Ability to perform statistical analyses and interpret results and findings
- Awareness of IT tools and willingness to learn advanced analytics tools
- Preferred in-depth knowledge of the methodologies and indicators for global university ranking systems such as QS, THE & ARWU, global university rating systems such as QS Stars, and other recognition systems and conversant with application requirements
- Data Collection, Organization Strategies submission and management of such ranking systems
- Should have all the required knowledge on academic reputation and employer reputation components related to global rankings
