Role Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sr. Executive/Assistant Manager - HR & Administration to lead and manage all HR and administrative functions within our manufacturing plant in Ahmedabad. This pivotal role requires a strategic thinker with a strong operational focus, capable of ensuring compliance with labor laws, fostering positive employee relations, and driving organizational efficiency. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with a proven track record in managing HR and administration within a manufacturing or automobile environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Human Resources (HR):

Employee Relations:

- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee grievances, providing timely and effective resolutions.

- Develop and implement employee welfare programs to enhance morale and engagement.

- Conduct employee counseling and disciplinary actions as required.

Recruitment & Onboarding:

- Assist in the recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates.

- Manage the onboarding process, ensuring a smooth transition for new employees.

Training & Development:

- Identify training needs in alignment with ISO/IATF standards and organizational goals.

- Design, develop, and implement effective training and development programs.

- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives.

Performance Management:

- Assist in the implementation and management of the performance appraisal system.

- Provide guidance and support to managers on performance management best practices.

Payroll & Compensation:

- Oversee the accurate and timely processing of payroll.

- Ensure compliance with all payroll-related regulations.

- Assist with compensation and benefit administration.

Administration:

Statutory Compliance:

- Ensure full compliance with all applicable labor laws, regulations, and statutory requirements (e.g., Factories Act, Minimum Wages Act, PF, ESI, etc.).

- Conduct regular internal audits to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.

- Maintain accurate records and documentation for all compliance-related activities.

- Liaison with government officials and agencies.

Facility Management:

- Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the facility, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.

- Manage security, housekeeping, and other facility-related services.

- Manage company vehicle fleet.

Vendor Management:

- Manage relationships with vendors for various administrative services.

- Negotiate contracts and ensure cost-effective procurement.

Documentation & Record Keeping:

- Maintain accurate and organized records of all HR and administrative activities.

- Ensure proper documentation of policies, procedures, and employee records.

Safety and Health:

- Assist in implementing and monitoring safety and health procedures.

- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe work environment.

Required Skills & Competencies:

- Strong Knowledge of Labor Laws & Statutory Compliance: In-depth understanding of Indian labor laws and regulations, particularly those applicable to the manufacturing sector.

- Excellent Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels, as well as external stakeholders.

- Problem-Solving & Decision-Making Skills: Ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively.

- Leadership & Team Management Skills: Ability to lead and motivate a team.

- Proficiency in Performance Management & Facility Operations: Experience in managing performance appraisals and overseeing facility operations.

- Organizational & Time Management Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

- Computer Proficiency: Proficient in MS Office Suite and HRIS systems.

- Language Proficiency: Fluency in English and Hindi is essential. Knowledge of Gujarati is highly preferred.

- ISO/IATF Knowledge: Familiarity with ISO/IATF standards and their application in training and development.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

- Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in HR and administration within a manufacturing or automobile industry environment.

- Proven track record in managing statutory compliance and administrative operations.

- Demonstrated experience in handling employee relations and implementing HR best practices.

- Experience with ISO/IATF related training procedures is a strong plus.
