Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
Industrial Relations Management:
- Develop and implement strategies to foster a productive and cooperative work environment.
- Address employee grievances, conflicts, and disputes fairly and consistently.
- Facilitate negotiations between management and employee representatives/unions.
Compliance and Labor Law:
- Ensure adherence to all relevant labour laws, regulations, and collective bargaining agreements.
- Stay informed on labour legislation changes and adjust company policies and practices as needed.
Employee Relations:
- Promote positive employee relations and support a culture of mutual respect.
- Lead initiatives to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction.
Dispute Resolution:
- Mediate and resolve industrial disputes, collaborating with both management and employees to find effective solutions.
- Prepare and present cases for industrial tribunals or labour courts when necessary.
Training and Development:
- Provide training and guidance on industrial relations best practices.
- Develop programs to improve understanding of labour laws, employee rights, and company policies.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of industrial relations activities, including grievances and resolutions.
- Prepare regular reports for senior management on industrial relations issues and trends.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.
