Job Description: Manager - Human Resources
Reports To: Director - Human Resources
Location: Bangalore
General Purpose Of The Job:
- Guides and manages the overall provision of People Services, policies, and programs for the company. The major areas the People Services manager manages will include manpower planning, recruitment & selection, performance management, Compensation & Benefits & employee relations.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Yes
The position has full supervisory responsibility for recruitment, hiring, retention, performance development, performance management, salary adjustments, and termination of direct reports.
Will have 1-2 direct reports.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities:
- Assist the Director in formulating and designing HR Policies
- Involves manpower planning and expansion.
- Takes charge of HR consultancy projects by appointing HR consultants for specific HR projects and coordinates with department heads and HR consultants on respective projects.
- Maintain up-to-date recruitment progress report, talent database and all related staffing communication.
- Process all local recruitment requests in an effective and efficient manner.
- Managing New Teammates orientation program pan India.
- Verification of Salary Payout and other discrepancies.
- Recruitment, Selection & Appointment.
- Conducting appraisals, taking corrective steps & preparing improvement plan.
- Compensation and benefits management & delivery.
- Create a climate conducive to a positive response from the members of the company.
- Establish a pro-active work culture.
- Facilitate in higher teammate satisfaction and engagement.
- Create credibility & culture of fairness and objectivity.
- Build institutional and transactional relations at the collective levels.
- Payroll Management & Statutory Compliance
- Employee Records verification.
- Developing retention strategies jointly with the
- Teammate Management- Provide leadership to direct reports.
- Perpetual review of situation as regards the work, productivity, quality and interpersonal relations in the company.
- Effective interface with other functional areas of the company.
- Effective documentation systems.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Certification MBA in HR / MA in HR
- Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience as generalist or manager required
- Intermediate computer skills and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required; knowledge of PeopleSoft preferred
