Looking for a HR Manager f or a Leading Telecom Industry Based in Chennai With Pan India Operations:
Job Location: Chennai
Roles & Responsibilities :
1. HR Strategic Planning :
- Develop a sound HR strategy in compliance with the company's overall objectives and goals
- Formulate, implement and update HR plans, policies & procedures
- Prepare HR budget. Drive HR-related cost savings and manage HR budgets as set by executive management and work in conjunction with the Head of Finance.
- Build a team and integrate and streamline various activities across the group in the long-term
2. Manpower planning and Recruitment :
- Plan manpower as per requirement from each department and ensure the same is in line with the budget
- Analyze the skills and qualities required for each job and develop job descriptions.
- Decide recruitment channels
- Manage the recruitment process for employees and consultants ensuring that the right talent is identified, attracted and retained
- Coordinate the advertising of vacancies, assess applications, liaise with headhunters as required and interview applicants
- Manage salary negotiations and close offers
- Coordinate and manage the orientation of new employees, process probationary reviews, employee evaluations, and terminations/separations
- Ensure that the on-boarding and staff induction process is up to date and conducted by Regional Managers and Line Managers
3. Compensation Schemes & Benefits Management :
- Review and analyze the jobs/roles, salaries, ranking, and benefits system from time to time and conduct a fitment review with the senior management
- Set salary scales and allowances to ensure parity across the group and in tune with the market
4. Performance Appraisals and Management :
- Formulate an effective performance appraisal policy and ensure its compliance.
- Review and analyze the performance appraisal process every year to ensure its effectiveness
5. Skills Development :
- Identify training/skills/competency needs within the group based on periodic reviews and annual appraisal feedback
- Coordinate career development and talent management need in partnership with line management. Develop a skills development plan for all employees with the T&D team
6. HR Administration :
- Supervise and manage the responsibilities of junior HR and admin staff within the group
- Manage Payroll System and ensure a close working relationship with the Head of Finance and the team
7 Employee Relations Management :
- Set up policies and procedures for the welfare of employees
- Implement engagement programmes to increase morale and productivity
- Encourage and develop employee communication and interpersonal relationships
- Ensure proper provision and management of staff amenities and occupational and health safety
