Key Responsibilities :
1) Legal Compliance:
- Stay abreast of changes in labor laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
2) Policy Development:
- Collaborate with HR and legal teams to create and update HR policies and procedures.
- Communicate policy changes to employees and ensure understanding and adherence.
3) Audits and Assessments:
- Conduct regular audits to assess HR processes and practices for compliance.
- Identify areas of improvement and implement corrective actions.
4) Training and Education:
- Provide training to HR staff and employees on compliance-related topics.
- Ensure awareness of compliance standards throughout the organization.
5) Investigations:
- Lead or support investigations into HR compliance issues.
- Implement corrective actions and preventive measures.
6) Documentation and Recordkeeping:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records related to HR compliance.
- Ensure documentation is readily available for audits and reporting.
7) Reporting:
- Prepare and submit reports on HR compliance metrics and initiatives.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to senior management.
8) Collaboration:
- Work closely with legal counsel, HR, and other relevant departments to address compliance challenges.
- Foster a culture of compliance throughout the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR compliance roles.
- In-depth knowledge of labor laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Certification in HR or compliance (e.g., HRCI, SHRM-SCP) is a plus.
