Job Summary :
The Manager of Strategic Sourcing will be responsible for supporting category management, sourcing, and reporting. Core responsibilities will include working closely with business partners across multiple Indirect categories, category reporting (spend, savings, lead times, supplier management), and delivering global efficiencies
Business Partnering/Transformation :
- Business Partner for Onshore Finance/Operations leadership team, member of Pune leadership team.
- Act as Business Partner for Indirect Sourcing Operations team, understanding the key priorities of business/function and cater the information needs of the sourcing leadership team for effective decision making.
- Analyze spend data, Explore & identify potential cost savings opportunities, develop those programs & playing key role in driving those programs by Partnering with Global indirect Procurement leadership team.
- Identify the opportunities for spend centralization & highlight the spend/cost leakages, maverick spend, areas of spot buys, broker buys.
- Provide financial oversight for spend analytics, inflation, and validation of Cost Improvement projects by collaborating with finance/sourcing leadership teams.
- Partnering with Global Sourcing leadership team to consolidate and leverage global purchase requirements; Assist selected suppliers to obtain best commercial and business conditions.
- Prepare bid packages and tender, analyze results, shortlist suppliers, conduct post tender negotiations and finalize contract.
- Analyze and recommend Sourcing leadership on supplier performance, contract negotiation and proposals and support analytics and reporting on regular basis.
- Support and consult RFP analytics and recommend new Private opportunities to improve private label offering as well as increasing margins.
- Extended support on IOP and Forecast exercises for the Global team by partnering with the Sourcing leadership team to ensure targets are developed and executed.
- Drives monthly/quarterly/TY forecast updates and tracking on sourcing bowlers.
- Supporting annual price collection and negotiation program during pricing season.
- Analyzing trends & providing proactive recommendations to the operations/finance leadership team by highlighting potential risks & opportunities of the business.
- Partner with Operations leadership on ad hoc projects/reporting as per the ongoing business requirements.
- Assessing the existing KPI's/reports of assigned businesses/functions, identifying the gaps in current process, proposing necessary changes to business partners and playing an active role in implementing the proactive mechanisms in measuring & driving business results.
- Prepare weekly/monthly Management Review decks for leadership team by highlighting the outliers, collaborating with operations/finance teams in understanding the drivers behind the variances, providing necessary commentaries on the business performance.
- Actively involve in performance review discussions with Operations/Finance leadership teams and providing necessary suggestions to the leadership team on the way forward approach.
- Assisting leadership in driving the key business-specific /global initiatives.
- SLA/KPI Management: Accountable for Pune FP&A Team member's SLA/KPI Targets. Own the targets cascaded, driving & ensuring that the team is able to meet the individual targets in terms of Quality & Delivery, Automation, Standardization and Documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver cost saving and improvement based on stakeholder input, savings potential and organizational readiness
- Forge professional and effective relationships with key stakeholders, supply chain colleagues, process partners and vendors.
- Act as a subject matter expert in the assigned categories of responsibility, including sourcing and qualification of new suppliers.
- Supplier performance monitoring and development
- Proactively analyze spend data to determine new opportunities, and quick wins
- Support and prepare RFP's utilizing technology e.g. e-sourcing, where applicable
- Prepare for and support key vendor negotiations
- Act as a liaison to assist key stakeholders achieve business objectives
- Produce and present monthly reports and status updates to senior leaders
Technical requirements :
- 7 years + experience in Strategic sourcing.
Competitive bidding, negotiations, vendor and contract management, value analysis, business case development, financial analysis, forging positive stakeholder relationships.
- Excellent data analytical skills, Advanced Excel, Qlik view, Tableau and other MS Office applications. PowerPoint, data analysis, business case development, ERP systems e.g. SAP
Preferred Education:
- Masters degree in supply chain operations/finance.
- Certification in Supply chain analytics advanced courses will be an added advantage
