Description:
This role is being offered within the Global Retail Risk Reporting & Analysis team under Finance & Risk Infrastructure (FRI)'s Finance and Risk Management Reporting Group.
The Mumbai based Global Retail Risk Reporting & Analysis APAC Team Lead position will be leading a team of senior and junior analysts to support primarily senior management in Global Consumer Bank Risk Management Organization in APAC region. The APAC team lead will report to the Global Head of Retail Risk Reporting in New York.
The primary focus of the APAC team is to design, develop, coordinate and prepare a comprehensive set of risk management reports (Presentations or MIS) in an accurate, timely and reliable manner for Global Consumer Risk Management APAC seniors. It also involves data/trend analysis as well as supporting reporting capability enhancement initiatives. The reports and analysis will cover all products (cards, mortgage, personal loans- etc) within global consumer bank across geographies. The Global Retail Risk Reporting & Analysis APAC Team interacts extensively with global consumer risk management (APAC country risk managers and regional oversight risk seniors in APAC Consumer Risk Management Organization) as well as cross-functional teams in Finance, Technology, Audit, and other areas within Finance and Risk Infrastructure (FRI) and across the firm.
Responsibilities:
- Lead APAC retail risk reporting team to provide best in class reporting and analysis service to APAC consumer risk CRO (Chief Risk Officer) and the independent risk organization. Additional responsibilities include supporting certain global reporting processes and initiatives
- Lead a team of senior and junior analyst to provide expert input into the design and production of consumer risk management reports (BAU, time-sensitive, adhoc) in collaboration with clients and business partners across the global consumer risk organizations
- Ensure team compliance with BCBS239 (BASEL principles for effective risk data aggregation and risk reporting) and Reporting Directive, as well as alignment with global reporting strategic direction
- Support the implementation of retail risk management reporting IT projects which includes providing user requirements, conducting UAT testing- etc.
Qualifications:
- 4-7 years- experience in the financial services industry with a track record of managing a team
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience in consumer banking risk management and reporting. Must have people management experience
- Advanced knowledge and hands on experience of commonly used tools Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), Cognos / MicroStrategy. Experience in manipulating/analyzing complex and voluminous data is a plus
- Working knowledge of consumer risk management and understanding of P&L drivers
- Great ability to work with all levels within the organization and across geography to drive projects to completion
- Excellent leadership and team building skills
- Excellent analytical, communication and presentation skills
- Independent/structured thinker and proactive problem solver
- Master's degree. MBA, CFA, FRM a plus
- Highly motivated with the ability to multi task productively
