(C) JOB DESCRIPTION :

FTE Managed: 30

Responsible for the timely and accurate performance of the full range of tasks described below:

- To oversee the operations of the GL Processing Team up to 5 employees on a daily basis so the SSC operational excellence and customer service objectives are realized within the given guidelines and policies

- To perform advanced processing for specific GL transactions of a more complex and sensitive nature, as well as providing sign-off or approval where needed

- To continuously seek out better ways of performing the processes and supports process improvement initiatives

- To successfully perform other assigned General Ledger functions under the direction of the head of SSC

- To ensure qualification, motivation and development of her/his team members

- To process transactions in multiple currencies as well as handling high volumes environment

Payables Operations Management

- Ensure timely and accurate processing of transactions within team

- Review of all Journals processed by the team to ensure they are accurate and meets the deadlines.

- Review of all reconciliations for the team that team processing quality is maintained

- Investigation of open line items in the reconciliations and work towards resolving the same.

People Management

- Prepare and run daily team briefing/ weekly team meetings

- Plan team capacity, assign team work accordingly and addresses proactively potential bottlenecks/ backlogs

- Backup planning, employee performance rating, development planning

- Supervise, motivate, develop and mentor staff

- Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and hiring GL team coordinators and staff

End-to-end process improvements

- Ensure adherence to internal and external guidelines as well as to a standardized process landscape

- Contribute and / or lead implementation of quality / continuous improvement projects

- Support process improvements initiatives and related projects.

Relationship Management

- Respond to critical vendor and internal client inquiries (first level escalation cases)

- Maintain positive work relationships with members of other teams in and outside the SSC to whom information is provided or from whom information is gathered.

Temporary Responsibilities

- Prepare and plan knowledge transfer sessions for migration of activities from other countries / regions

- Conduct knowledge transfer / work shadowing sessions in countries (e.g., India, Thailand, Indonesia, Europe)

- Take over activities from other countries and stabilize operations within reasonable period of time

Education

- Minimum: Master degree in Finance / Accounting

- Desirable: A Chartered Accountant

Practical Experience

- Essential: 5+ years in Accounting (profound GL background desirable)

- Essential: 3+ years in supervisory function

- Essential: Profound Accounting Experience

- Essential: SAP FI accounting experience, ideally in General Ledger and Fixed Asset Accounting

- Essential: General knowledge of SAP R3 FI
