Job Summary:

- We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented General Ledger Senior Manager to lead our accounting functions in Kochi.

- This is a full-time, on-site role that demands a strong understanding of general ledger management, tax preparation, business control, fixed assets, and financial closings.

- The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing accounting teams and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.

Role Description & Responsibilities:

- Oversee and manage the general ledger operations.

- Manage all accounting functions, including business control and tax preparation.

- Handle fixed asset management and ensure accurate recording and depreciation.

- Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings.

- Lead and manage a team of accountants, providing guidance and support.

- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

- Prepare and analyze financial reports, providing insights and recommendations to management.

- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial data and reporting.

- Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations.

- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

- Minimum 4 years of experience as a manager in a current/previous organization.

- Minimum 2-3 years post-qualification experience with BIG4s or US accounting firms.

- Strong experience with general ledger management, tax preparation, and business control.

- Proven experience with fixed assets and financial closings.

- Excellent organizational and management skills.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Skills:

- Accounting principles and practices.

- Tax preparation and compliance.

- Business control and risk management.

- Fixed asset management.

- Financial closing processes.

- Team management and leadership.

- Accounting software proficiency.

- MS Office Suite proficiency.

- US GAAP and IFRS knowledge.

Preferred Qualifications (Bonus):

- Relevant professional certifications (CPA).
