Manager- Lead Advisory (Infrastructure Advisory)
Primary Responsibilities and Accountabilities :
- As a senior member of the sector practice at GDS Lead Advisory, the person would be providing Transaction Advisory services to Global TAS leaders
- Responsible for leading client interactions, delivery, and relationship building with TAS Global Sector leaders
- Work across the entire M&A deal lifecycle from deal origination to closure, including transaction screening, proposals, pitchbooks, industry research, precendent transactions and comparative valuation analysis, opportunity papers, Information Memorandums, Financial models etc.
- Manage a team of 6-8 people
- Measure, monitor and improve client service by closely collaborating with the client and guiding team members and driving excellence in service delivery
- Focus teams on the key priorities while working on and managing several medium-size projects
- Ensure smooth service delivery within the defined geographical area
- Ensure that team members deliver quality service as per client's needs and priorities
- Partner with internal and external clients to improve processes
- Work with project leaders to analyze resource needs and gaps across locations, and devise alternative ways forward
- Assign people to projects based on their skills, career goals and client's expectations
- Provide team members with accurate and useful guidance in technical areas of high risk and complexity
- Act as a counselor for team members
- Participate in goal setting, performance appraisal and management of counselees
- Identify L&D requirements of counselees
- Travel on assignments abroad, as required
Competencies / skills :
- Strong exposure working in a Transaction (M&A) Advisory or Corporate Finance environment
- Strong research experience in Power & Utility sector, preferably in an M&A environment
- Exposure to other sectors, e.g. Infrastructure & Construction etc. would be an added advantage
- Expertise in preparing Pitch books, Industry research, Company research, Opportunity Papers, Information Memorandums
- Have good knowledge of valuations principles and financial statements
- Have worked on Financial model builds and has working knowledge of valuation techniques, e.g. DCF, Peer relative valuation analysis
- Strong financial research and analytical skills
- Good communication skills - both written and verbal
- Have good knowledge of research databases like Capital IQ, Factset, One Source, Factiva, Reuters, etc.
- Be proficient to search/source right information from relevant sources
- Perform QC reviews and ensure that the output delivered is of utmost quality
- Coach and mentor team members on technical skills and soft skills
- Manage communication with the on-site teams, and provide thought leadership ideas on scope of work
- Manage own time to budgets and communicate progress against plan
- Act as a counselor for four-five team members (CAs and MBAs)
- Participate in goal-setting, performance appraisal and management of counselees

Education & Experience :
- MBA/PG Diploma (Fin) or Post Graduate Diploma in Finance or CFA - Level 3 passed or CA with 6 to 8 years relevant experience
